TV will not stream, the app is stuck, or you cannot sign in? Try these in order.
Most streaming problems come from three places: the TV or stick lost Wi-Fi, the app needs an update or restart, or the account sign in changed. The remote is often just low on batteries.
Want someone to talk you through it? Call Ellis, our AI phone assistant. The first 5 minutes are free, no card needed. If you want more time, it is $19 one time for up to 30 minutes of phone help, used over 14 days. No subscription.
Want Ellis to work on your computer with you, only after you say it is okay? $79 one time, up to 60 minutes. Both are refundable anytime: just ask with a reason at joe@adorellc.pro or text 928-272-0355.
A real caller rated Ellis 10 out of 10 in October 2026, after a Mac sign-in error that blocked their design software was fixed in one 25 minute call.
Nothing will play
Unplug the TV or the streaming stick from power for 60 seconds, then plug it back in. This fixes more problems than anything else.
Check the TV input. Press the Input or Source button and pick the HDMI port the stick is plugged into.
Open the network settings on the TV and check it is connected to your Wi-Fi.
Test another app. If only one app fails, the problem is that app or that account.
One app will not work or sign in
Close the app fully and open it again. On many TVs, restarting the TV is the simplest way.
Update the app or the TV software from the settings menu.
Sign out of the app and sign back in. Many apps show a code on the TV that you enter on your phone at a web address they give you. Type that address yourself.
If it says too many devices, sign out of old devices from the account page on your phone or computer.
Remote not working
Replace the batteries first, even if they seem new.
Roku and Fire TV remotes can lose pairing. The pairing button is usually inside the battery cover.
Most streaming services also have a free phone app that works as a remote while you sort it out.
What a call with Ellis is like
You call from any phone. No app, no download.
Ellis tells you it is an AI, then asks what is going on.
It gives you one step at a time and waits. You can interrupt, ask it to repeat, or ask it to slow down.
After 5 free minutes, you choose: hang up, or pay $19 one time for up to 30 minutes of phone help.
