MyChart login box not showing: how to fix it

When MyChart shows its picture page but no sign in boxes, something is stopping the login part of the page from loading. A VPN, a privacy or ad blocking extension, or old saved site data are the usual causes. Your health records are fine.

Free human help is at capacity right now. If you want help while you fix this, Ellis, our AI assistant, can help you by phone now. The first 5 minutes are free when you call (928) 272-0355. If you want more time, phone help is $19 one time for up to 30 minutes, used over 14 days. No subscription. Ellis is an AI and can make mistakes.

Steps

  1. Turn the VPN off fully, not just paused. Open the VPN app and choose Disconnect or Quit, then close every browser window and open the browser again.
  2. If it still fails, uninstall the VPN for a moment. On Windows open Settings, Apps, find the VPN and click Uninstall. On a Mac drag the VPN app from Applications to the Trash. Restart the computer and try MyChart again. You can reinstall the VPN later.
  3. Make sure you are on the right MyChart. Each hospital or clinic has its own MyChart address. Search for your clinic name plus MyChart, or use the link from your clinic website or a recent appointment email.
  4. Turn off ad blockers and privacy extensions for MyChart. In Chrome click the puzzle piece next to the address bar and switch them off, then reload the page.
  5. Clear the saved data for that site. In Chrome click the icon to the left of the web address, choose Site settings, then Delete data, and reload the page.
  6. Try the MyChart app on your phone or tablet. It is free in the App Store and Google Play. Search for your clinic inside the app and sign in there.
  7. If the boxes still do not show, call the MyChart help number on your clinic website. They can check whether their system is down or your account is locked.

Common questions

Did the VPN break my MyChart account?

No. Your account and records are fine. The VPN only changes how your computer reaches the site, and some clinic sites block VPN traffic.

Is it safe to let someone help me with MyChart?

Yes, as long as you never read out your password. A helper can guide you to the sign in page while you type your own password yourself.
