Steps

  1. Bring the printer within a few feet of the router for setup. You can move it back later.
  2. On the printer screen, open the wireless or network setup and choose your network name from the list.
  3. Type the Wi-Fi password carefully. Capital letters matter, and 0 and O look alike.
  4. If setup fails, open your router settings or app and turn on the 2.4 GHz band, or split the combined network into two names. Then join the printer to the 2.4 GHz one.
  5. Restart the printer and the router, in that order, then try again.
  6. Once it connects, print a network page from the printer menu, then add the printer on your computer or phone from its settings.
