Steps

Close other programs that might use the camera, like Teams, Skype or a camera app. Only one can use it at a time.
In Zoom, click the arrow next to the camera or mic button and select the right device from the list.
On Windows, open Settings, Privacy & security, Camera, and make sure camera access is on, including for desktop apps. Do the same under Microphone.
On a Mac, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, Camera, and allow Zoom. Do the same for Microphone and quit and reopen Zoom.
In a browser, click the lock icon next to the address, and allow camera and microphone for the site.
Unplug and replug a USB camera or headset, or try a different USB port, then restart Zoom.
Restart the computer if none of that works.

Common questions

Zoom shows my camera but others see black. Why?

Often the video is turned off in the meeting itself, or another app grabbed the camera after you joined. Close other apps and turn video off and on.

Will these steps work for Teams or Google Meet?
