From Black Friday through December, residents want to order gifts for grandchildren online. Many get stuck on creating an account, typing a card number, finding a tracking number or figuring out why a package went to the wrong door.
The same weeks bring a wave of fake "your package could not be delivered" texts and emails. A phone number residents can call any hour for patient, step by step help keeps gift shopping fun and keeps those questions off your front desk.
Give residents a patient number to call for holiday shopping and package questions. Ellis is $499 a month per community, with a 30 day pilot and month to month after that.
Ellis is an AI assistant, not a person, and says so at the start of every call. Calling the number from any phone gets the first 5 minutes free, so you can test it with a real device problem before you decide.
What residents call about in the holiday season
Creating or signing in to an Amazon, Walmart or Target account.
Adding a gift to the cart and checking out, step by step.
Sending a gift straight to a grandchild's address.
Finding the order confirmation email and tracking a package.
Checking whether a "missed delivery" text or email is a scam before they click.
Starting a return or exchange after the holidays.
How it works for a community
Put one number, (928) 272-0355, on a "Holiday shopping help" flyer in the lobby, the mailroom and the December newsletter.
Residents call any hour and Ellis talks them through on their own phone, tablet or computer, one step at a time, as long as it takes.
If a package problem is a building or mailroom issue, Ellis tells the resident to contact your staff, so your team stays the escalation point.
Why communities add it now
The holiday rush of shopping and package questions does not land on the front desk or mailroom.
Residents get a calm second opinion before they click a fake delivery link.
Families hear about a tech help line that works on the weekends and nights they cannot help.
We aim for happier, more connected residents. We do not promise occupancy numbers.

Limits
Ellis is an AI assistant, not a person. It says so at the start of every call, and it can make mistakes.
It is for tech help only. It is not a HIPAA covered service and we do not sign business associate agreements, so callers are told not to share health details, Social Security numbers or card numbers.
It does not dispatch anyone or work on site. When a problem needs hands on help, Ellis tells the caller to ask your front desk or activities team, and your staff stay the escalation point.
It is not an emergency line. For anything urgent or medical, residents use your staff or call 911.
Calls are recorded and transcribed, and Ellis says so. A caller can press 2 or ask it not to save the call.
Questions operators ask
Does Ellis place orders or enter card numbers for residents?
No. Ellis explains each step and the resident types and taps on their own device. Ellis never asks for a card number or password.
Does Ellis connect to our systems?
No. Ellis does not connect to any of your systems or resident records. It only helps residents with their own devices.
Is there a contract?
There is a 30 day pilot and then it is month to month at $499 a month per community.
Is Ellis a person?
