Senior apartment communities sit in between: residents live on their own, there is no care staff, and the leasing office is often the only place to ask a question. So the leasing team ends up fielding Wi-Fi resets, resident portal logins, smart lock apps and "is this text a scam" all week.
A phone number residents can call for patient, step by step help takes those questions off the leasing desk and gives your marketing a concrete resident perk to list.
Give residents a patient tech helper to call when the leasing office is closed. Ellis is $499 a month per community, with a 30 day pilot and month to month after that.
Ellis is an AI assistant, not a person, and says so at the start of every call. Calling the number from any phone gets the first 5 minutes free, so you can test it with a real device problem before you decide.
Where residents get stuck
Connecting phones, tablets and smart TVs to the building or unit Wi-Fi.
Signing in to the resident portal to pay rent or submit a maintenance request.
Smart lock, thermostat and intercom apps on their own phone.
Spotting scam texts, fake package notices and fake support calls.
Video calls with family, email passwords and phone settings.
How it works for a property
You add one number, (928) 272-0355, to the welcome packet, the resident portal and a sign by the mailroom.
Residents call any hour, including nights and weekends when the leasing office is closed, and Ellis talks them through on their own device.
When something is a building issue, like a broken lock or a Wi-Fi outage, Ellis tells the resident to submit a maintenance request or call your office, so your team stays the escalation point.
Why property managers add it
Fewer tech questions at the leasing desk, so the team has more time for tours and renewals.
A specific line for your amenity list and listing copy: "Resident tech help line, call anytime."
A real answer when an adult child touring with a parent asks how Mom will manage the apps and portals.
The goal is better resident experience and easier leasing. We do not promise occupancy or renewal numbers.

Limits
Ellis is an AI assistant, not a person. It says so at the start of every call, and it can make mistakes.
It is for tech help only. It is not a HIPAA covered service and we do not sign business associate agreements, so callers are told not to share health details, Social Security numbers or card numbers.
It does not dispatch anyone or work on site. When a problem needs hands on help, Ellis tells the caller to ask your front desk or activities team, and your staff stay the escalation point.
It is not an emergency line. For anything urgent or medical, residents use your staff or call 911.
Calls are recorded and transcribed, and Ellis says so. A caller can press 2 or ask it not to save the call.
Questions operators ask
Does Ellis connect to our resident portal or property software?
No. Ellis does not connect to any of your systems or resident records. It walks the resident through using the portal on their own device.
Can Ellis open a maintenance ticket?
No. It tells the resident how to submit one through your normal process, or to call your office.
Is it priced per unit?
No. It is a flat $499 a month per property, with a 30 day pilot and then month to month. Groups of up to 5 properties are $1,500 a month.
